Pleo Children exists to make life fair for disabled and autistic children.

We are not all born equal. We don’t all have the same chance to succeed. Disabled and autistic children face greater challenges than most.

To change the world so that disabled and autistic children have the choice, opportunity, dignity and understanding they deserve.

In order to achieve our vision we must:

Change Lives

Give children and young people the support they need now

Change Society

Shape public perception and attitudes, inform government policy and increase awareness and understanding

Change Charity

Inspire and inform best practice to ensure efficient collaboration across the voluntary, public and private sector

Pleo has always been shaped by listening to the people we support; the children and families who face incredible challenges just to get the same opportunities as everyone else.

Founded in 2000 in Stoke-on-Trent, we have gradually developed our range of services to meet the needs of our beneficiaries and increased our reach to help as many children as possible.

From supporting a few families in Staffordshire in 2000, we have grown into an international charity, helping over 78,500 children and counting from our home at the award-winning Pleo at Keele University.

With 90 team members and a global network of amazing volunteers and donors supporting our work, we strive to give disabled and autistic children the confidence and ability to reach their full potential.
